ASCII

About ASCII

Generally ASCII is a type of Characters. All Characters used in different countries. Some people called it UNICODE. ASCII table published in 1963. It is based on earlier similar tables used by teleprinters.

What is ASCII?

ascii ASCII means American Standard Code for Information Interchange. ASCII is a character encoding scheme. It is originally based on the English alphabet. ASCII codes represent text in computers, communications equipment, and other devices that use text. Most modern character encoding schemes are based on ASCII. But they support many additional characters.

ASCII was developed under the auspices of a committee of the American Standards Association. This is called X3 committee. It is by its X3.2 (later X3L2) subcommittee, and later by that subcommittee's X3.2.4 working group. The American Standards Association became the United States of America Standards Institute (USASI).
